The Participants And Method
A total of 43 obese children were involved in this study. The children ranged from the ages of 8 to 18 years old. Each participant was restricted fructose for 9 days and sugar was swapped with starch.
After the study was over, it was found that the participant’s insulin levels significantly dropped. They showed drastic improvements in their cholesterol levels as well. The children’s weight stayed the same and if they started to lose weight, they were encouraged to eat more as weight loss was not the overall goal of this study.
